Matcha lattes, film premieres and £10,000 for a single Instagram post…   The life of a canine influencer is luxurious and lucrative. So can any old mutt get in on the act? Florence Wilkinson and her Pomeranian, Fox, try to become top dogs.

‘You take the picture, I’ll get them to stay in place,’ I instruct my friend Kuki as I balance our two bemused-looking Pomeranians on a barstool. ‘Fox, George, look at me!’ I command, shaking a tin of biscuits. Both dogs turn their heads in the opposite direction.
